Generic Darvocet (Propoxyphene) Interactions
If you are currently using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting propoxyphene/Acetaminophen.
Before taking Darvocet, tell your doctor if you are using following drugs:
- "blood thinners" (e.g., warfarin)
- Carbamazepine
- Cimetidine
- MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine)
- other pain medications
- tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., doxepin).
Inform your doctor if you also take drugs that cause drowsiness such as:
- anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam)
- antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline)
- antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine)
- anti-seizure drugs (e.g., phenobarbital)
- medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives)
- muscle relaxants

- tranquilizers
